From making payments to financial reporting, our clearing house makes managing super quick and seamless. And it's free to use for registered employers.
Instead of dealing directly with multiple super funds, you can manage all your super contributions in one place, in one transaction.
Your payment options in the clearing house
We accept money by authorised direct debit and Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT).
You can nominate your preferred method when you register with us.
Further details of both payment methods will be provided to you when your registration is finalised.
Preparing for the clearing house
You will need the following information from your employees to in order to make payments in the clearing house:
- Tax file number
- Contact details
- Gender and date of birth
- Payment details
You can provide contribution data by either uploading a SuperStream compliant file, or entering your employee’s information directly into the system.
How we keep your information secure
Our clearing house is powered by Westpac, one of Australia’s most trusted financial institutions.
We chose them for their industry leading data security solutions and robust privacy processes.
When you make a contribution through our clearing house, your data is protected by encryption, file compression and audit trail reporting.
Contribution data to First State Super is visible to only a select number of our representatives, and our trusted administrator, Mercer.

If you employ only a small number of First State Super members, you may wish to make contributions to them using the SuperStream compliant option offered by your default super fund. Alternatively if you are a small business, you could consider using the government’s free clearing house.

Making contributions through the employer portal is not compliant with SuperStream requirements. The contributions function will be permanently removed on 28 February 2018 - from this date you will be unable to use this method.
All employers were expected to be fully SuperStream compliant by 30 June 2016. If you are unsure how to proceed, call 1300 650 873.
