Preparing to use the clearing house

To get going with the clearing house, you’ll need the following information from your employees to begin making payments:

  • Tax file number
  • Contact details – including email address and mobile phone number
  • Gender and date of birth
  • Payment details

You can provide contribution data either by uploading a SuperStream compliant file or by entering your employee’s information directly into the system.

All personal information regarding your employees will be held and used in accordance with our privacy policy.

Aware Super provides a high-quality, simple to use clearing house solution, provided by SuperChoice, with data integrity at the core of our offering, SuperChoice is a certified information system ISO 27001, with a range of controls and procedures in place to meet strict ATO data protocols and standards.

Any contribution data shared with Aware Super is visible to only a few selected representatives, and our trusted administrator, Mercer.

There may be circumstances where your business doesn’t need to use our clearing house to make contributions. Select from the menu below to find out more.

If you have 19 or fewer staff, or your annual turnover is less than $2 millon per annum, you may be eligible to use the government's free clearing house solution.

If you employ a small number of Aware Super members, you may wish to make contributions by using the SuperStream compliant option offered by your super fund of choice. Alternatively, if you are a small business, you could also consider using the government’s free clearing house.

^The clearing house is provided by SuperChoice Services Pty Limited (ACN 109 509 739), Authorised Representative (Number 336522) of PayClear Services Pty Limited (ACN 124 852 320) holder of Australian Financial Services Licence Number 314357. The SuperChoice Product Disclosure Statement (PDS) will be provided by SuperChoice at the time of registration. You should consider the PDS before deciding to accept any offer made by PayClear Services to issue the product.
