CareerSeekers is a non-profit enterprise that creates professional employment opportunities for asylum seekers and refugees by arranging paid internships with sponsoring companies.

CareerSeekers placed our first paid intern in September 2016. Ibrahim Kubba was a software engineering graduate from Al-Mansour University College in Baghdad. He proved to be such an excellent addition to our technology team, that at the end of the 12-week intern program we offered him a full-time position.

We have since appointed two additional refugee interns from Damascus, Syria.

Our involvement not only supports those seeking to secure a foothold in the Australian workplace, it also helps us build a diverse and inclusive workplace.

At First State Super, we are proud to be involved in such a worthwhile project.
