Mark Morey

Board Director

Mark is a leading advocate for workers’ rights with specialised knowledge of industrial relations.

Mark has been Secretary of Unions NSW since February 2016.  He was formerly the Assistant Secretary of Unions NSW from 2009-2016 where he was responsible for coordinating Unions NSW's legal, industrial and industry policy activities, political liaison, public sector activities and coordinated the construction industry and transport industry portfolios.  He held the positions of Special Project Officer 2000-2002 and Research Director from 2002-2004 at Unions NSW.

From 2005-2008 Mark was the Executive Officer at the Rail, Tram and Bus Union (NSW Branch) where he coordinated its political, industrial and campaigning activities.

Prior to joining Unions NSW, Mark was the Executive Officer of the Youth Action and Policy Association, a social worker at the Department of Social Security and a Youth Development Officer at Penrith Council.

Mark served as a Director of Energy Industry Superannuation Scheme from 2012 and was until recently its Deputy Chair.

Appointed to the First State Super Board in 2019, Mark is a member of the Member Services Committee and the Governance and Nominations Committee.
